Resilience is the ability to 'bounce back' from stress or challenge. In this workshop we explore different ways to increase this capacity, both for ourselves and for our groups, in order to empower us to engage with our activism in a way that is more sustainable, joyful and inclusive.
Keep in mind that this workshop will take up two timeslots.
Our facilitation is based in experiential learning and combines methods that engage participants on the level of heart (emotions), head (thinking and concepts) and hands (practical experience / embodiment). So come prepared to share your experiences and knowledge and be inspired by the participants with whom you'll share this space. Our workshop is inspired by the work that reconnects and queer feminist approaches to care and we will offer theoretical frameworks to better understand the neurology of stress and resilience.
This workshop will be facilitated by Robin (he/they) and Murmure (all pronouns, changing), from Feros asbl, a Belgian collective that organises workshops and training around the topics of emotional resilience, inclusive and transformative collaboration and collective care. Both trainers have experience in different social movements, including the climate movement, squat movement, anti-nuclear and anti-military action.
