This session will explore the transformative power of data and technology in activism. Through case studies from Latin America to Amsterdam, we will demonstrate how data is being leveraged to challenge injustices and envision alternative futures.
We will bring in our work on initiatives such as a global AI surveillance database and a tool to expose police brutality. Participants will engage in co-designing data-driven projects aimed at confronting state surveillance, the carceral system, and enhancing protest tactics. This interactive workshop aims to empower activists with the skills to utilize data for societal change.
