Image theater and theater of the oppressed

In this workshop we will engage in a conversation about a topic that we'll decide together by using image theater. This is a method that allows us to have a conversation about big, difficult topics by creating an image together, without talking. Image theater is a method used in Theater of the Oppressed that allows their participants to research, share, and deepen their understanding of topics by making it physical. Examples of these topics are (anti-)racism/sexism/other forms of oppression, capitalism, and the climate crisis, as well as more specific examples like the nuclear family, homelessness, or het hebben van een uitkering. Definitely. No theater skills are needed; I'll guide us through it. It'll be fun and interesting ;) .
