Joyful Militancy investigates how fear, self-righteousness, and moralism infiltrate and take root within liberation movements. It also questions what to do about these issues – and, ultimately, how tenderness and vulnerability can thrive alongside fierce militant commitment.
To share and discuss inner movement culture, and to try and tackle toxic traits. We want to create more resilient social movements, and fight patterns such as burn out- and cancel culture. We also want to offer tools to name toxic behaviours, and to address them in in their own activist spaces.
