House of Extinction presents: Dragtivism workshop

Explore dragtivism and the artform's political potential in this 3-part workshop on theory/herstory, practice/experiment and presentation/performance.
After a conversation on drag and the artform's herstory, the House of Extinction will delve into our ways of doing drag, its political potential and exploring your drag-self. With this starting point, we will practice with various drag staples such as make-up, wigs and clothes. Please bring along everything and anything you'd like to experiment with! Now we're ready for the spotlight. For those feeling comfortable, we will present our drag-selves on a catwalk in the main festival area, dipping our toes into performance and being perceived in drag, followed by the possibility of a picture-taking session. The workshop will end in a sharing circle.
