An introductory workshop in E-Waste hacking and reverse engineering for anarchists and environmentalists. Join the workshop and become a hardware hacker to prevent E-Waste from ending up in the global south! Bring your own laptop.
Maurits Fennis will give an introductory talk and workshop at the event to introduce E-Waste hacking and our hacking tools.
The goal is for all participants to go home with a hardware hacking toolkit to experiment further at home.
We will start with the basics and answer questions such as:
- What is Unbinare and why do we exist?
- How do you find / source E-Waste?
- What are the basic prerequisites to start hacking E-Waste?
- What are the basic techniques to start hacking E-Waste?
- How do we use Unbinare's tools to hack E-Waste?
No technical experience is required to join the workshop, but some experience with Linux / BSD operating systems and a UNIX terminal is a plus.
