We will compare the different decision making models organisational cultures of Code Rood (NL) and Code Rood/Rouge (BE) and will explore the pro's and con's of both models. What is the role of NGO's in a radicalising climate movement; Where to find resources to scale up our impact in a sustainable way? How can be we best protect ourselves as climate?
Code Rood (NL) and Code Rood/Rouge (BE) are two movements with similar goals and tactics - blocking the fossil fuel industry with mass actions of civil disobedience - but different organisation models. While the Dutch Code Rood is a coalition of individuals, the Belgium one is a coalition of NGO's, movements and grassroots groups.
While both coalitions organised actions that look very similar for an outsider, behind the screens the two Code Roods used different decision making models and developed other organisational cultures.
